The product
What is Synkurl?
Synkurl is a small device for your home, and an app for your family's phones. Photos and videos back up from your phones to the device by themselves. You can open them from anywhere, on Wi-Fi or mobile data. And if you get a new phone, your photos come back to it.
Is it a cloud service?
No. Your photos and videos are kept on the Synkurl device, in your home. You can still open them when you're away. We'll explain more before early access opens.
Which phones will it work with?
We're starting with Android. Tell us your phone when you join, so we know who is waiting for what.
Do I need to be technical?
No. We're designing Synkurl for families, not for experts. We'll share the setup steps before early access opens.
What if our home internet goes down?
We'll explain this before early access opens.
What if I lose my phone?
Photos and videos that were already backed up stay on the device at home. Set up Synkurl on your new phone, and they come back to it.

When can I get it?
We're building our first version now. Families on the waitlist hear about early access before anyone else.

What do I get by joining?
An email when early access opens, before we tell anyone else. Nothing else: no newsletters, no ads.
How are my details used?
Only to tell you about early access, and to plan which phones and places to support first. We don't sell them or use them for advertising. Read the privacy notice.
Why do you ask for my phone, city and family size?
Your phone tells us which phones to support first. Your city helps us plan where to start. Your family size tells us how many people's photos a family wants to keep together. If you tell us which design you'd put in your home, that helps us shape the device.
I didn't get the email.
It can take a few minutes. Look in Promotions, Updates and Spam too. Still nothing? Fill in the form again after 10 minutes and we'll send a fresh email, or write to synkurl@synkurl.com.
Can I join from outside India?
Yes, anyone can join. We're starting in India, and the waitlist helps us decide where to go next.
How do I get removed?
Before you confirm, use the "Not me: remove my email" link in our email. Any time after that, write to synkurl@synkurl.com from the address you joined with. We'll delete your details and reply to confirm.
